Division Two Cheer

So the other day I talked about D3 cheer, however D2 cheer is just as important.

One of those being Hawaii Pacific University! a favorite of mine. A very impressive team especially for D2. elite tumbling, superior stunts, tight motions and fantastic jumps.

Oklahoma City University is another team I was surprised by. Impressive tumbling and alot of males on the team. Their stunting isn't the best but their choreograpghy is phoenomenal! very appealing.

HPU

So while exploring on YouTube today, I found a sneak preview of HPU Coed's Nationals routine. The tumbling is phenomenal however what I saw of the stunts, was not the caliber of their normal difficulty. To be fair, this clip did not include baskets or a pyramid but I'm hoping they add more impressive stunt sequences to their final routine.

Division Three Cheer

So something not talked about alot is D3 cheer. There are actualy quite a few impressive teams when looking at videos from the 2010 NCA competition footage.

Some of those included:

Azusa Pacific University; their stunts included one legs with only two bases, full twist basket tosses and team standing tucks. Very Impressive!

University of Massachusetts Dartmouth; their stunts were also impressive with double downs and switch ups. they also had team tumbling, overall a good routine.

Bridgewater State College; This team had a few falls in the begining but overall displayed impressive technique and sharpness. they also had difficulty in their basket tosses, could have added harder stunt sequences but still good to watch!

2010-2011 Competition Season

Competition season is coming up in the next few months for college cheerleading and I for one CAN'T WAIT! Every year the teams that compete at the National Cheer Association get more and more impressive.
Some of my favorties every year are:
